Calling all swing and jazz enthusiasts! Hailing from the vibrant musical hub that is Bristol, the Blue Vipers Swing Band are your go-to live jazz wedding band for hire, ready to add a touch of vintage charm and youthful musical energy to your festival, party, function or wedding!
Transport yourself to the roaring 20s as the Blue Vipers Swing Band puts their spin on classic tunes from the era, delivering sultry, smokey, rich vocal harmonies and fresh musical arrangements. This youthful but experienced live band for hire hosts some of the crème de la crème of the UK jazz and swing scene and can add a diverse range of talented instrumentalists to fully tailor themselves to your event.
Like all our live party and wedding bands for hire, the Blue Vipers Swing Band have genuine experience gracing stages across Europe, America, and the UK, hitting up iconic events like Ferrara Buskers Festival, Glastonbury Festival, and the vibrant streets of New Orleans. Their biggest musical inspirations include Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, and anything with that authentic New Orleans vibe.
While not confined to a single musical genre, this fun-time live wedding band's sweet spot is 1920s and 1930s Jazz, where they transport you and your guests back to that irresistible vintage sound and time. The Blue Vipers Swing Band have carefully crafted a live show that elevates your wedding, festival, event or party to another level, delivering style and sophistication at every turn and like all live bands in the Seventh Second family, they are always happy adapting their set to meet your unique needs which includes learning special songs and first dances.
They also offer a host of lineup and booking options too! Whether you're looking for a duo, trio, quartet, or even more, they have access to a diverse range of talented instrumentalists they've met on their musical travels including accordion, violin, piano, trumpet and clarinet players. You can choose between an intimate acoustic duo, a semi-acoustic epic big band or anything else in between!
Prices are based on 2x60-minute or 3x40-minute sets with the core quartet ensemble of Rachel (vocals/washboard/accordion), Bill (double bass/harmonica), Gus (tenor banjo/clarinet/guitar) and Stu (saxophone). With three core members being multi-instrumental wizards, you are always guaranteed a vibrant musical kaleidoscope and an ever-changing and diverse live show to boot. Tailor-made for weddings, functions, barn dances, glamorous parties, or any stage that craves that musical spark, they always supply PA, stage lighting, PLI and PAT certificates and everything you could need for that perfect night's entertainment.

Requirements
The band generally will require a minimum of 3x4 metres of space to make sure they can set up safely. Please ask for rider details.
Gear
Along with their instruments (they do help), the band will provide top spec, full PA and lighting systems to cater for any event. Comprehensive PAT and PLI certification is supplied as standard.
Arrival and Set Up
The band can be flexible to suit your requirements, however, usually, set up time is roughly an hour. This time can vary depending on the complexity of the show.
Performance Duration
The band will typically play 2 x 60 or 3 x 40 minute sets, however, the band are flexible so please do ask if you have something more specific in mind. Extra sets or an early start/late finish available. Please contact us for more information.
Sound Limiter
Boo! However, we understand this is commonplace so all our acts have experience with venue sound limiters. If you’ve been instructed by your venue with anything specific, please be sure to let us know before hand.
