"When we began looking for a wedding band we knew exactly what we wanted, but couldn’t find one locally. We began looking further afield, but honestly didn’t think it would be feasible to fly a band from England to the west coast of Ireland. We contacted Goodfellas because (a) they sounded magnificent and (b) they had toured internationally before. Dealing with the lads was an absolute breeze and any reservations we had were quickly put to bed. And on St Patrick’s weekend, 2013, the boys flew over and squeezed themselves into a small room in a big old Father Ted-type house. There they transported us all back to the 80s & 90s and rocked until the walls creaked, windows warped and the sweat of a 150 people, in various stages of sobriety, soaked through the knotted floorboards into the ancient foundations.
