The Emmet Scanlan Collective is one of the most diverse and exhilarating folk bands for hire UK wide so come one, come all and enjoy the spectacle! Do you need a raucous live folk band with up to 10 members? Do you need a more relaxed bluesy acoustic three-piece act or solo performer at the top of his game? Well, the Emmet Scanlan and his collective can deliver it all!
Emmet Scanlan is at the heart of this folk and blues musical collective and with his Irish heritage music, singing and performing are all in his DNA. Emmet and his band have over 15 years of experience performing live and although his style is rooted in folk and blues, Emmet and his band have the scope and skill to perform songs from artists as diverse as Pavarotti and Britney Spears. With his band backing him, it's a sight to behold as he and his talented group of musicians deliver the tunes you and your guests love.
As mentioned, Emmet plays with a host of musicians in his collective but his house band consisting of lead male vocals/guitar, drums, bass and guitars/vocals excel at performing soul, americana, folk, blues, rock and pop songs that are loved by the masses. If needed or if you are feeling adventurous and want to witness a live show to remember, the collective can be expanded to include a harpist, pianist, mandolin player, fiddle player and many others musicians to provide exactly what is needed to create the unique and memorable highlight of your event! The collective truly are the ultimate bespoke vintage folk party band.
However, we can't forget to mention that Emmet comes as a truly gifted solo performer or with a small, acoustic band for your smaller or more subtle event needs. You name the event, be it a wedding, party, corporate event, intimate, huge, loud, small or quiet, the collective has the music and musicians for you. You decide exactly what you want from this energetic live act!
Depending on what version of the collective you pick, prices may vary but prices shown are based on the popular 4 piece booking option so please ask us about the myriad of other booking options and line ups available. Please also ask us for specific Ireland and Republic of Ireland pricing. Please note: Due to availability or illness, deputy musicians of very a high professional standard may sometimes be used.

Requirements
The band generally will require a minimum of 3x4 metres of space to make sure they can set up safely. Please ask for rider details.
Gear
Along with their instruments (they do help), the band will provide top spec, full PA and lighting systems to cater for any event. Comprehensive PAT and PLI certification is supplied as standard.
Arrival and Set Up
The band can be flexible to suit your requirements, however, usually, set up time is roughly an hour. This time can vary depending on the complexity of the show.
Performance Duration
The band will typically play 2 x 60 or 3 x 40 minute sets, however, the band are flexible so please do ask if you have something more specific in mind. Extra sets or an early start/late finish available. Please contact us for more information.
Sound Limiter
Boo! However, we understand this is commonplace so all our acts have experience with venue sound limiters. If you’ve been instructed by your venue with anything specific, please be sure to let us know before hand.
