Trying to plan or reorganise your party, event, or wedding since the pandemic sometimes adds a few extra complications and considerations. Today I answer all the questions and concerns we receive from people organising an event post-pandemic and offer guidance and reassurance that whatever may happen, your booking with Seventh Second is covid safe and secure.
The Seventh Second way
We’re a small and dedicated family of musicians here at Seventh Second helping thousands of people celebrate every year the way they want to. Along with our in-depth blog offering you all sorts of help, we’ve been working hard to help all our customers and people like you during what has been a very turbulent couple of years so if you still have any questions after reading today’s guide, you can always contact us 7 days a week, 10 am to 10 pm via phone, text, email, and instant live chat.
Book with confidence with Seventh Second
Any booking you make with us is covered by our covid cover and that includes your booking deposit which is always 100% safe and secure with us. No matter what the future holds, we are dedicated to supporting you and have a range of options to help. Let’s get onto the common and important questions we receive.
1. What happens if I need to change the date of my booking?
If you need to change the date of your booking you can reschedule it free of charge as many times as needed and we will never charge any admin or extra fees. We will also happily roll over your deposit and keep your band constantly updated, meaning your booking and deposit are always safe. You can reference our guide on postponing your wedding due to covid or similar situations here.
2. What happens if I need to postpone my event but I don’t have a new date secured yet?
In this instance, we will hold onto your deposit until you can secure a new date. Once you have a new date secured we will transfer your deposit over to that date free of charge. Again, we will always keep your act up to date on any changes.
3. How do I reschedule my booking?
Our rescheduling and rebooking process is straightforward and simple. Speak with your live band first and find some dates that work for you both and then speak to us and we will make all the necessary changes to your booking free of charge.
4. How much notice do I need to give to reschedule my booking?
There is no set period but we strongly suggest you let us know as soon as possible about your event rescheduling so we can try our best to secure your live act for your new date. Our acts do get booked up quickly and we wouldn’t want you to miss out on your chosen act.
5. What if my chosen act isn’t available on my rescheduled date?
2023 is looking like another very busy year for weddings, parties, and events so there is a chance your band may not be free for your new date. So far, we are very proud of our 90% success rate at securing the acts our clients booked for their rescheduled dates and we will always try our utmost to make sure the band you booked is the band you get. You can always look at rescheduling your event for a weekday or off-peak (January-March or October-November) weekend date to increase the chances of your chosen live act being free. However, if this isn’t possible, you can move your booking deposit and use it, free of charge towards another one of our fantastic, award-winning acts who will deliver a stunning live show for you and your guests. All of our musicians here at Seventh Second are dedicated to delivering the best live show possible and we guarantee an exceptional performance with any of our acts.
6. Will there be any additional fees if I reschedule?
There will never be any additional fees if you reschedule but if your new booking deposit is higher than your previous deposit you will have to pay the difference. However, if your new booking deposit is less, we will hold onto the difference which you can use for any other booking at any other time.
7. Will my chosen live act still be happy to perform at my event?
We are lovers of all weddings, parties, and events here at Seventh Second! We love nothing more than performing for happy party people who are celebrating momentous times. We will always be happy to perform at your event, whenever it is rescheduled. You can learn all about us and our rich live music history here.
8. What happens if one of the band members in my chosen act falls ill?
In the unfortunate event that a member of your band becomes ill, there are always highly professional, fully prepared deputising musicians really to fill in and help to deliver that fantastic performance you deserve. We will always give as much notice as possible about any changes. You can always read our FAQs or T&Cs for more information.
9. What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
We understand this is the last thing you want to do so if you do need to cancel your booking we will hold onto your deposit for any future booking you make with us. You can also transfer your deposit to any friends or family who book with us. You may wish to read our guide on canceling your live entertainment here.
10. If my event is going ahead but government guidelines prohibit live acts performing what can I do?
As with any event cancellation, we will hold onto your deposit and you may use it for another booking with one of our acts at any time free of charge. It’s highly unlikely a band cannot perform in a live music venue nowadays but your booking deposit is always fully transferable to any friends or family who book with us too.
11. What procedures will I have to have in place at my event?
Rules and regulations since the pandemic can evolve so we recommend you check the government websites listed below for any updates and keep in contact with your venue for their own. Please notify us or your band about any important updates too.
