“I can’t recommend these guys enough! We were nervous about picking the band for our wedding as we both feel that if the music is not great, it is difficult to get the party going. Seventh Second were recommended to us and as soon as we contacted them, they were responsive and helpful which put us at ease. Our requirements were a bit complicated because there was only a very small window in which the band would be able to set up so they needed to do an initial set up, and then clear their stuff away while the guests had dinner and then re-set up quickly after the meal. Nothing was too much trouble – they took the time to understand the factors involved and adapted their normal routine to fit. They tailored their set and learnt some new songs for us. Best of all they learnt our first dance which, due to the song we had picked (Carlos Santana) we were not expecting them to learn because it was so tricky.”

Our funk and disco wedding bands usually perform at private events so catching them live can be a bit tricky unless they invite you or host a special public showcase. Most of our bands have live gig footage on their profile pages, giving you a solid taste of their performance style. If you’re itching to see them live, contact us and we’ll do our best to arrange it.
We’d say you should hire your dream wedding band at least 12 months ahead, especially for those prime Saturdays between May and September. Sometimes 8 to 4 months beforehand can be enough time, especially for off-peak days. Just remember, the most popular funk and disco bands get booked way in advance, so don’t leave it too late if you’ve got your heart set on one.
Prices can vary depending on the band size, style, and whether it’s peak or off-peak season. Check out our guide for all the details. Generally, 3-piece bands go for around £750 to £1200, 4-piece bands from £850 to £2000, 5-piece bands from £1200 to £2600, and 6-piece bands from £1800 to £3000. Premium 12-piece showbands usually start at £8000.
Our bands are typically £100 to £200 cheaper to hire than elsewhere since we don’t add any commission.
Since live wedding bands are usually with you for around at least 8 hours, it’s a good idea to offer some food and drinks during their stay. Most contracts cover this, but it’s always good to check for any dietary requests or preferences. Treating the band well means they’ll bring their A-game for sure!

Our Disco and Funk bands can arrive whenever you need them, typically between 5 pm and 8 pm. These timings work nicely for common music starts of around 6 pm to 9 pm.
