A relatively new act, DJ Republic are a live music sensation! Fusing everything you love about live function bands and DJs, this 3 to 8-piece outfit will mesmerise and excite you in equal measure. There aren’t many live bands out there that do what DJ Republic do and none of them does it as well. Get ready to dance your feet off with the biggest tunes in town with this high-energy, infectious musical explosion!

Hey, I’m Craig or Baggy (originally nicknamed after the iconic Madness Track ‘Baggy Trousers’). I started my musical career as a session bassist performing with some of the UK’s most renowned artists including Westlife and ’80s icons Then Jericho. I then decided to have a break from that world and founded DJ Republic which was an exciting collaboration between some of the best young instrumentalists of our generation. We wanted it to be an act that would perform at high-profile weddings, events and festivals across the globe and that’s what’s happened!
The day always starts with coffee (obviously!) while checking through the morning’s emails. While the afternoon consists of organising new songs, websites, photoshoots, video shoots or preparing for upcoming events.
I love performing in DJ Republic because of its ecstatic frenzies and overwhelming thrills, its blissful senses of delirium and gratitude, and its handfuls of post-show depression. From the moment we arrive at an event to the moment we leave, everyone is almost as excited as we are! Not to mention we get to perform some of the most iconic songs of all time too!
Music was the first thing I wanted to pursue when I was a kid. My father was very supportive as he was a musician himself and once I was able to hold an instrument, I started lessons and started playing music. Music will always be my first love.
Getting to make a living out of what you love is by far the best part of being a musician as well as travelling and seeing the world. I could definitely take or leave the 5 am get-ins though!
We performed at the 21st World Scout Jamboree for HRH the Duke of Cambridge and 50,000 scouts from around the world. One of the best gigs of our career to date.
Tricky question, performing in some form I guess. Acting, dancing, anything with a stage. All would be a decent alternative but nothing beats performing live music.
A remote island swimming and fishing all day.
Exercising, spending time with my family and getting out into nature.

DJ Republic usually arrive ready to wow you and your guests as a compact four-piece complete with state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment. Check their videos to glimpse what I’m talking about. They bring the party to any venue, any event, any time with stellar performances, excellent equipment and a professional attitude.
Their lineup consists of lead female and male vocals, bass, guitar, trumpet and DJ but you can add violin, saxophone, backing singers and even percussion to wow your guests some more.
