It’s showcase time again and today I have a seriously stylish band for you. Please welcome soul and Motown band for hire Night and Day and their guitarist and bandleader Harrison! If you want your wedding to ooze style and sophistication you really need to read today’s showcase as Night and Day have style and sophistication in spades!
Despite their young age, Night and Day are one of the most established, popular and let’s be honest, coolest bands for hire Seventh Second has to offer. For those reasons alone, we had to do a showcase on this fantastic soul and Motown band. One of the first acts formed here at Seventh Second, Night and Day are used to performing every week at stylish weddings, swanky parties or at some of the most exclusive events going. Mixing soul, Motown, jazz and ratpack musical vibes with contemporary and classic tunes creates a truly infectious live show when paired with their vocalist’s stand out voice and will always get your guests dancing more then they knew they ever could.
I almost felt I should dress up for this interview as Night and Day are just so stylish! Let’s find out all about their life as a busy live band and learn all about the life of a busy performing musician. It’s time to chat to Harrison, the guitarist and bandleader of Night and Day…
Hey! I studied guitar at BIMM (Tech Music School) London, along with Noah (Bass) and Mark(Drums). We have been playing together in various bands for around 7 years now, so we can read each other on stage really well and get the best out of each other every show. As for Max our lead singer, I met him playing at an open mic/acoustic gig. He got up and sang and performed “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys and blew everyone away with his incredible vocals. As soon as I heard him sing, I knew we had to convince him to join the band.
If we’re out gigging that day, then we’ve got to make sure our vans packed and ready with all our equipment. Our gigs are all over the country so for most of the day we’re driving, but other than that we’re setting up, sound checking, and of course performing some sweet, sweet music. Haha.
I love that we’re all such good friends and we get to play a lot of the music that we enjoy listening to.
I used to spend my lunch breaks at school playing guitar or drums with a couple of my mates. For me, it was the best part of the day and since then, I’ve been hooked on performing.
The best part is performing in front of a really good crowd who aren’t embarrassed to show off their best dance moves! The worst part was trying to be a musician during Covid-19.

I forgot the intro chords to “I Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weekend (it’s only 3 chords by the way! haha) and so I ended up playing 3 random chords which really confused my bandmates.
You always get some funny dad dancing crazily which is great fun to watch.

We want to expand our lineup with more horn and percussion performers and maybe add some more singers!
I’d be a wildlife filmmaker.
Changes every week, but right now it’s Asian food.
