After a stressful morning not knowing if the groom was going to make the wedding due to a sudden case of norovirus we were having to change the timings and be as flexible as possible. We were an hour late starting our first dance but the band didn’t complain and just went with it. They are even better live and made our evening celebrations despite my husband not being able to stay up – I partied for the both of us! "When we began looking for a wedding band we knew exactly what we wanted, but couldn’t find one locally. We began looking further afield, but honestly didn’t think it would be feasible to fly a band from England to the west coast of Ireland. We contacted Goodfellas because (a) they sounded magnificent and (b) they had toured internationally before. Dealing with the lads was an absolute breeze and any reservations we had were quickly put to bed. And on St Patrick’s weekend, 2013, the boys flew over and squeezed themselves into a small room in a big old Father Ted-type house. There they transported us all back to the 80s & 90s and rocked until the walls creaked, windows warped and the sweat of a 150 people, in various stages of sobriety, soaked through the knotted floorboards into the ancient foundations. We can only imagine it was all part of their magnificent master plan. "
